Sue Dove

Sue Dove works with print and stitch onto textiles. Stitching has always been an essential activity for her and its use as a vehicle for her art enables her to create textures, patterns and colour which are the main elements she uses to interpret her ideas and images.
Sue lives in Hayle and frequently walks her dog along the Coast Path whilst thinking about new ideas for her work.
The opportunity to take part in this exhibition has inspired her to look at the land- and sea-scapes divided by the Coast Path. This new collection of work comments upon the wide natural vastness of the sea in contrast to the landscape manipulated by man to create fields and pastures. The Coast Path itself has been created by man to ensure access and enjoyment of the coast.
